Client Testimonials
Siti Rahimah
Bakery Owner, Cheras KL
"I went in unsure whether the engagement would produce anything I did not already know. It did. The written overview was clear and specific — not vague advice about 'streamlining processes'. I left with three concrete things to look at, and I have acted on two of them."

Zulfadli Ahmad
Logistics Firm, Shah Alam
"The five-week planning engagement helped us think through a second depot without making a rushed decision. The budget outline was more detailed than I expected, and the priorities sheet was genuinely useful — it gave my team something to reference when we disagreed on sequencing."

Lee Mei Ling
Events Company, Petaling Jaya
"I appreciated that the advisor did not have a predetermined answer walking in. The sessions felt more like a proper working conversation than a presentation of their views. The written summary was concise and we shared it with our board."

Rajendran Pillai
Manufacturing, Klang Valley
"We engaged Gemilang for the quarterly advisory after realising our reporting had not kept up with how the business had grown. The documentation pack they produced at the end of the quarter has become something we actually use — not something filed away."

Norashikin Kamarudin
Retail Chain, Kuala Lumpur
"It took me two sessions to feel fully open with the advisor — that is partly just my own caution. By the third session I felt comfortable bringing the more difficult numbers to the table. The plan they produced was realistic, which is what I had asked for."

Hairul Tan
Technology Services, Cyberjaya
"Quick turnaround on the written summary after our session — I had it within three days. The follow-up note a week later was a thoughtful addition I had not expected. Small things like that make the difference between an engagement that feels complete and one that just... ends."

Progress Review
Family-Run Restaurant Group, Bangsar
The Situation
A second-generation owner had taken over from her father and wanted an outside view on where margins were being lost. She had a sense something was off in the cost structure but no clear picture of where.
The Work
One session reviewing the previous six months of revenue and cost data alongside the owner. We mapped the three cost categories showing the widest variance and identified two routines contributing to the problem.
The Outcome
Within six weeks of the engagement, the owner had addressed one of the two routines flagged. She later estimated this recovered approximately RM 1,400 per month in margin that had been quietly eroding for over a year.
"I thought I knew where the problem was. I did not. The session helped me see it clearly for the first time."
Measured Growth Planning
Professional Services Firm, Mont Kiara
The Situation
The founding partner of a twelve-person firm was considering hiring two additional staff and possibly opening a sub-office. She wanted help thinking through whether the business was genuinely ready for either step.
The Work
Three sessions over five weeks, reviewing revenue trends, utilisation rates, and the cost and risk profile of each potential move. We produced a written plan presenting both options with a clear budget outline for each.
The Outcome
The client chose to hire one staff member rather than two, and deferred the sub-office for twelve months. She said the discipline of working through the budget assumptions was what helped her feel confident in that decision.
"The plan did not tell me what to do — it helped me see what the decision was actually about. That was more valuable."
Advanced Performance Advisory
Distribution Business, Selangor
The Situation
A thirty-five-person distribution company had grown rapidly and was experiencing slowdowns in decision-making — approvals that should have taken a day were taking a week. The directors suspected the reporting structure was part of the problem.
The Work
A full quarterly engagement reviewing the approval process, reporting lines, and how information moved between teams. We worked with three department heads separately before producing the documentation pack and closing summary.
The Outcome
The documentation pack identified two changes to the approval chain. After implementing them, the directors reported that routine decisions were resolving significantly faster, and the reporting meeting had been shortened from ninety minutes to forty.
"Having an outside party document the process made it easier for us to have an honest internal conversation about what needed to change."
